@Phil Premise - Script - Version 5

Below is my 5th version of my premise script. After speaking to Alan I have decided to start with talking about myself in the present, then speak about how I found out that I had Diabetes when I was 5, and then how it affects me now.

  1. Hi Tia... okay, so I'm a bit confused now. Where has your 'little monster' gone? Your script is essentially a literal description of your diabetes and I'm reading it and looking for what is 'for animation' about it - and I'm struggling. This looks to be the same script pretty much as you had when we first talked about it? I can't even see when/where/how your 'Little Monster' might even feature in this version? I've given these two animatics by Ruth to a number of your classmates because they are the easiest way I have of showing the difference between literalism and directing for animation...

    1) First watch Ruth Cann's first animatic all the way through - and then watch the second version, which she produced after Ruth was encouraged to stop representing everything so literally....

    Before you go any further - before you design any more bits and bobs you need to show people what you're seeing in your head in terms of bringing your story from 'script to screen'. You need to commit to an animatic now before you give anything else your time because it will help us all understand your vision for this film.
