Premise - Scene and Prop design - On the train

In my project part of the story as to how I found out that I had Diabetes started on a train on the way to London with my Mum. Below are designs for both the seats on the train and the train environment. While researching, I also decided to draw two of the chairs that have been seen in UPA cartoons, these are thumbnails 6 and 7. I have also looked at different textures that could be used for the seats, these are thumbnails 8, 9 and 10. Seats on the train: On the train - scene:

Character design - Week 9

Image
I decided to start looking at the props that my characters would interact with or use. First of all I looked at beer bottles as that is what the Sheriff would be holding while trying to shoot Centi-Pete: Once I was happy with a design, I then created a small branded label to put onto the bottle so that it seemed more realistic: Next I looked at the types of guns that would be used by the characters in that time period. I thought a pistol and shot gun would be most suitable: Hats were then also considered as the characters may not look like they are from the Wild West if they did not have a hat: To fit in with the genre, sheriff badges were also looked at:  I then started to look at the characters and how their turnarounds would look.
