Moom - Speed pose 3

Image
My Moom did end up being classed as 'Dead'. This is due to how straight his back was, which caused for his hips to break. Alan's fixed Moom:

Diabetes Monster - Adjusted character orthograph

Image
Adjustments have been completed from the feedback that Alan had given me. Creating bigger feet for the character means that he has some stability when standing. Next, I will try to create this character out of Plasticine to see whether there would be any other adjustments that I can see when creating a physical model of the character.

Maya - Speed pose 2

It was decided that I have made the second speed pose for Moom well. He has a slight balance issue but he is alive with all of his joints and limbs attached.

@Alan Diabetes monster - New orthographs

Image
In the images above, the pink lines show where I have improved the orthographs for the character. After speaking with Alan I have tapered the gloves, made sure that the shoes face forward on the front view orthograph, made his shoulders narrower at the top and changed his head shape slightly. The new orthograph is shown below: I have altered some of the character's features further when creating the orthographs in Adobe Illustrator. I have adjusted the shoulders so that they were the same level in both views. I have also ensured that the top and bottom part of the face is also aligned.

I have decided to outline the images I have taken for my orthographs so that it is easier to distinguish the lines that I will need to model. The lines that are visable on the images which have not been outlined will be bump mapped onto the model. Front view Back view Left side view Right side view Bottom view Top view

Orthograph ideas

Image
After speaking with Alan about my animation, I have decided to make the character look like claymation that has been created in CG, and to make the CG objects within the scene as realistic as possible. I will do this by taking images of objects, such as a desk and my diabetes equipment, and creating orthographs from these images. I will then create textures and bump maps for the models that will then create a further realistic effect.  Below are some of the images that have been taken for the orthographs of my diabetes equipment.
