Character design - Lesson 7 - Storytelling

For the first part of the character design lesson we spoke about story boarding, camera angles and positioning and how each of these things can effect the emotion and characters in the different shots.  For the first exercise we were told to draw some quick storyboard sketches of the different shots used from a small scene in a film that we like. I chose to look at the film BeetleJuice, specifically the scene where the two main characters Adam and Lydia and asking Beetlejuice whether he is able to teach them how to be scary. For the second exercise we were each given a location where we were then told to create a chase scene and draw out the shots for the scene. I was given a Stadium. I created a chase scene between an MI5 agent and a bomber as they run through the busy stadium as the crowds are beginning to be seated. I also created another agent character in a helicopter that was assisting the other agent by helping to locate the bomber.  I spoke ...
