From script to screen - Character design - Villain and other scientists

Here are some of my character designs for both the villain and other scientists within my story. I haven't decided yet on which of these characters below will be my villain and which of the other characters will be the other scientists.

 I have also experimented with different eyes for each of the characters to see which I'd prefer. 

 For these designs I created the skin colours using acrylic paint and then used black Biro pen and coloured pencils to add more details and facial features.

This is as the audience are unaware as to where they are, who the characters are and what they are doing. The scenes also change suddenly and time shifts backwards and forwards. Film review: A Knight's Tale (2001) - A Hero's journey

During today's lecture we looked into depth on Joseph Campbell's monomyth theory on the 17 stages of 'A Hero's Journey' and how the stages are very evident in films such as Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) and The Matrix (1999). The theory has 3 acts which come together to form the 17 different stages in A Hero's Journey.  Below is a diagram to explain Campbell's theory: Figure 1.
